Crested Cranes assistant coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi has named the team that travelled to Rwanda on Saturday morning for the 2024 Paris Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers.
The team is composed of 23 players that will face the She Amavubi in the first round Qualifiers.
The first leg will be played on 12th July at Kigali Pele Stadium with the return leg coming four days later.
The team departed Cranes Paradise Hotel today morning and were welcomed at the Katuna border by Rwanda officials before continuing with the journey to Kigali.
Joan Nabirye who plays at FK Minsk in Belarus will connect with the team in Kigali while Phiona Nabbumba from Denmark’s B93 is ruled out due to an injury and will not make the trip to Rwanda.
Uganda had a friendly game against Tanzania on Friday, winning the game 3-1 at MTN-Omondi Stadium.
